Galleria Tonelli was founded in 1981 thank to the passion of Lodovico Tonelli for XX century Art, in the historical centre of Milan and just steps away from Santa Maria delle Grazie, the church which is home to Leonardo da Vinci’s “Last Supper”.
The Gallery exhibits works and paintings by 20th century Masters along with selected contemporary artists. Tancredi’s works on paper, Victor Brauner, Jacques Villeglè’s decollages d’affiches, Piero Dorazio’s paintings, David Simpson and Stuart Arends, Getulio Alviani and Carla Accardi meets Lucio Fontana have been among the most important exhibitions. The catalogues of the shows are published in co-operation with the prestigious Libri Scheiwiller publishing house in Milan.
Since 30 years Galleria Tonelli goes ahead with both commercial and cultural activities, offering art advice service, expertise and valutations.
Galleria Tonelli cooperates with different museums from all around Europe and takes part in many art fairs such as Artefiera – Bologna, MiArt – Milan, Art Cologne and Art Monaco.
